The West Country has some fine running-golf courses. The links at: Burnham and Berrow *(BB); Royal North Devon *(RND) at Westward Ho!; Saunton *(Sa); St Enodoc *(SE); Trevose (Tre); West Cornwall *(WC); and Perranporth (PP)
On heathland there are fine golf courses at: Broadstone *(Bs); Parkstone *(Pa); Ferndown *(Fer); Isle of Purbeck (IP); Stoneham (Sto) near Southampton and East Devon (ED) along the cliffs. Thurlestone *(Th), High Post (HP); Freshwater Bay (FwB) and Tidworth *(Tid) are fine downland courses. Yelverton (Ye) is a fine moorland course.
I have still to play the Links at La Moye (LM) on Jersey and I am told the links at Minehead is maintained by a traditional fine grasses greenkeeper so I must find time to play it.
