Many congratulations on producing this well thought out and much needed website. Fine Golf puts its finger on the pulse, not only highlighting the media-driven threat of pandering to lush target golf presentation, but also emphasising the rich variety of truly Fine Golf Courses in Britain and Ireland.
Fine wine is the product of its ‘terroir’ and the same can be said for fine golf, where the grasses, their environment and, of course, their stewardship ultimately hold the key to the challenge and enjoyment of each course. I look forward to the steady expansion of the section on featured courses and believe that this Fine Golf website will rapidly become a regular ‘must visit’ for all true golf lovers.

Good luck with the new website and from a first exploratory glance I shall definitely add it to my favourites and will recommend it to fellow golfers. Should like to have seen the Nevill get a mention but…….

Good luck.
Look forward to seeing Hollinwell and The Berkshire feature at some point.
Lorne’s reply: Thank you. The Berkshire review will come soon and Notts(Hollinwell) I hope later in the year.

Looked at the Northumberland list. Fine – Northumberland GC is good choice (current R&A Sec club) but where oh where is Bamburgh GC? The jewel of the NE?
Lorne’s reply: Thank you for your helpful comment. Others have also mentioned Bamburgh. I shall have to check out the six par 3s, the stunning views and the quality of the turf, to make up for a weak finnish ?!
