Neil Hampton, General Manager at Royal Dornoch, rated as the No2 course in the world outside of America by Golf Digest:

“I never met Jim Arthur myself but Eoin Riddell our course manager said that he was the agronomist for Royal Dornoch when he started working here, which was back in the mid 80’s. At that time Eoin was at the bottom of the ladder so was never involved with what Jim said or did for us.

However we are both aware of his work and reputation and so we are pleased to have the opportunity of publicly recognising the centenary of his birth and his devotion to the running game and golf played in traditional links style. Lets hope that his legacy lives on and grows.”
